Naloxone & Opioid Overdose Response – London, ON
🩺 What is Naloxone?
Naloxone (also known as Narcan®) is a safe, fast-acting medication that can temporarily reverse the effects of an opioid overdose. It has no effect if opioids are not in the system, and it is not addictive.

Slow, weak, or no breathing
-
Blue or grey lips and fingernails

Pinpoint pupils

Cold, clammy skin

Unresponsive, cannot be woken up
💉 How to Use Naloxone

Give Naloxone:
-
Peel open the package
-
Place the nozzle tip into one nostril

Press the plunger firmly
-
-
Start CPR if trained (30 compressions, 2 breaths).
