Intermediate First Aid Recertification with CPR-C & AED
Formerly Standard First Aid Recertification
The updated WSIB first aid program launches on June 22, 2026. As part of this transition, Standard First Aid (SFA) is being replaced by Intermediate First Aid (IFA).
Eligible Standard First Aid award holders may transition directly into the Intermediate First Aid Recertification course under the updated WSIB first aid program. Candidates may take an Intermediate First Aid Recertification course within 36 months of completing a Standard First Aid or Intermediate First Aid full course, provided all recertification requirements are met.
Participants who completed their previous full course through another WSIB-approved training provider may also register for this recertification course, provided their certification is current and they meet all recertification requirements.
If your certification is expired, you are required to take the full 2-day Intermediate First Aid with CPR-C & AED course again.
Proof of current certification or your LSS member ID is required on the day of the course to confirm eligibility. No refunds will be provided if you register for a recertification course without meeting the prerequisites.
